2. How We Use Cookies
Zari uses the following types of cookies:
Essential Cookies
Required for authentication and core functionality. These cannot be disabled. They include session tokens from Clerk (our authentication provider) and security cookies.
Functional Cookies
Remember your preferences such as language selection, personality mode, and voice settings. These improve your experience but are not strictly necessary.
Diagnostics Cookies
Sentry helps us detect and fix errors and keep Zari stable and secure. Personal information is scrubbed before it reaches Sentry. Optional session replay, which records anonymized interaction to reproduce bugs, only runs if you choose “Accept all”.
Marketing & Affiliate Cookies
Rewardful attributes referrals to the affiliate who sent you, so partners in our ambassador program are credited. These load only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, and are never set if you choose “Essential only” or dismiss it.
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”. We only load the diagnostics session replay and marketing/affiliate cookies above after you select “Accept all”. Essential and functional cookies are always active because the app cannot work without them.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services may set their own cookies: Clerk and Vercel (authentication and performance, always active), Sentry (error diagnostics), and Rewardful (affiliate referral attribution, only after you choose “Accept all”). We do not control these cookies. Please refer to their respective cookie policies for more information.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using Zari. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
